Phew at last onto the next stage

Oh the little things in life eh! lol
Glad you enjoyed your breaky xxxx

Mmmmmmmm, that will be me next week. I had scrambled egg for breakfast this morning and loved it.

Yum one of my favourites, pate..... yahhhhhh

Enjoy! Every new thing you taste will be a delight x

How come you're already on that stage zns? Isn't it funny how hospitals do stuff different? I'm not allowed crackers, ryvita, bred etc until 12 weeks.

before i might have cheated, but I just don't dare now. :(

I had a crumpet with peanut butter on for my tea and

OH

MY

GOD

That thing was like a pure, salavating goddess. xxxxx

how do you go on with food now charis, did you have to start on liquids again, or are you ok on normal diet now hun. i hope your feeling ok, and not overdoing it, big hugs xx

MMMM I had crackers one with philly and one with low fat pate for breakfast sooooooo nice!

oh my god !! drooooooooooooool :p i cant wait !! which crackers did you have ? i bet you was really nervous when you ate the first one !! :D lol xxx

I was told I could have crispbreads (the melt in your mouth wafer ones) at 3-4 weeks. Not tried ryveta yet. But it is strange Charis what different advice is given.

I remember my first crispbread and pate after surgery. Oh the taste sensation lol.

mmm that sounds so nice, i love the melts ones and cant wait to try them again with a bit of cream cheese (low fat ofcourse )
xxx

Im allowed crackers and toast now on the 'soft' stage crackers just disolve down to not much in the pouch so are easier than bread to tollerate. I was nervous though as its so different from soup and puree lol. Its been ok though.

I had tesco low fat crackers.

Charis after your issues I would certainly stick to the advice from your hospital xx

hi zns,

I cannot wait till my next stage! still on baby mush,
really looking forward to trying cottage cheese and things.
As for bread,I think milk roll bread would be nice to try,as its really soft bread with no crusts hardly.
Are you well now? (toilet stuff) xx

Oh yes that first crispread yummmmm. I now love melba toasts (and they are very handy in little packs), sesame ryvita and cheesy thins . . (although they are a bit high in fat). I think if I am only having two though they cant really hurt . . . pre op I would have eaten the box full!!!!:D:D

I'm being good zns though it's frustrating!

Dawny I was so worried they'd make me go back to puree, but no. Since my pouch was fine, and all the trouble lower down the new intestinal limb, I'm just on soft food: casseroles, soups, spag bol, even a bit of roast turkey!

I'd have been so upset to start back on purees. Can't wait for a it of crunch though!

Hopefully soon: I have my next outpatients appointment in 3 weeks so I'll hopefully get the go-ahead then. Just in time for my son's 18th Birthday party! :553:

do you think this is naughty??
Ive had the odd bag of snack a jacks, they go down sooo well,I mean I suck them soft!!
I just need a bit of something nice, and I felt totally ok after having them x
I one and half week from soft stage..
