Piliates - anyone doing it - and other good news

Well I am booked into a piliates session tonight at 8pm. Dont know whether it is pyschological but I am so tired today and dreading it.

Oh and the other news is I have just checked my BMI and when I started in march it was 43 and is now 33 which is now only in the obese range. whooo hoooo.
 
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay thats fab news on the BMI front.... well done you~ i to am the same with excersise but once your there you ll feel fab and afterwards the kick you get form it you ll prob be counting the days till the next session xx

Great minds think alike Mary... I had my first Pilates session yesterday ! I enjoyed it, reminded me a bit of the yoga I used to do many years ago. And very well done on the BMI - you're making great progress ! :happy096:
 
WELL DONE! Have you done Pilates before Mary? I quite fancy trying this but I haven't exercised in years other than swimming so I don't know how well I'll manage.

Thanks for all your kind comments. Well I went and am still alive. It was very gentle stretching exercises but you could feel it doing something. I went very slowly as I am no spring chicken, and as I have to muck out 5 horses each day couldnt afford to be out of action.

The class was mixed and he showed us 2 or 3 variations of each exercise, so the more able ones could do more, there is also the option to use weights and a ball. I stuck with all the easy options and will build up gradually. It is definately good for your core muscles and would recommend it to anyone.

The best bit is it is next door to a chinese:eek::eek: so I had spare ribs and chicken sweet and sour for dinner/supper. However, there is no way I could eat all of it so it is in the fridge for lunch (the spare ribs) and dinner the rest of the sweet and sour.;);)

Oh I am so cheap to keep now....... a real bargin bucket.... LOL :8855::8855:

Glad you enjoyed it Mary. I'd recommend it too, I think it's ideal exercise for WLS peeps at any stage.
