maz.... stop hoggin that badge and hand it over - haha!

one of the things i cant wait for post bypass to have a full wardrobe of nice small clothes! this summer is still going to be a fat one for me tho i recon! xxx

I was having a bit of a sort-out of my wardrobe the other day Maz. I have a pretty little summer dress I wore for my brother's wedding last year...I've worn it once!

Its way too big, but I'm going to take it to our local sewing shop to see if they can take it in. It has a shirred elastic back, so I'm hoping they can shir the sides too to make it a snug fit. Otherwise it's going to have to go.

But it is exciting to be buying things in smaller sizes.....and I don't really buy stuff from online catalogues any more- its soooooooooo much fun shopping and trying on the clothes in the changing rooms!

Now that's a sentence I never thought I'd utter! :D

Oh maz it must be so exciting, the thought of wearing those lovely little dresses...you'll look knockout!!

I fancy a dress too this summer, I think the last time I wore one was when I was pregnant with my youngest who is now 18  I will have to have a shrug too as my arms are going to be hideous, they are bad now! XX

because i cant indulge in eating, ive been browsing online catalogues like next and very. I really, really want to have a mini splurge since im hardly spending any money on food haha Just dont want to buy stuff now because i have no idea what size ill be! So for now, its all window shopping.

I would like to get into non elasticated jeans and id also like a white linen skirt  can almost feel summer here!

x

I was looking at a dress the other day and my husband nearly fainted, ive not worn a dress or skirt for about 20 years i told him maybe this summer i will. Last summer i lived in cropped trousers all size 30/32 im now wearing size 18/20. I try not to buy a lot of cloths as they dont fit for long roll on summer.

After much nagging, I managed to convince hubby to buy me a sewing machine for my birthday, I'm going to enrol on a sewing course to learn the basics, and hopefully, I'll be able to either alter current items, or make new ones from them while I enjoy my weight loss - it'll save money and keep me busy!

Because we've just had a sunshine holiday last month I've had to buy some summer clothes already - and girls, it's so much fun !! I have horrible bingo wings but frankly didn't bother covering them up and they didn't look as bad as I thought anyway. I loved not feeling sweaty and having thighs that didn't rub together. And I couldn't believe how little space I needed for packing- or how light the clothes were ! Look forward to the summer girls, and make the most of it ! xx

Awww Maz... what a lovely thought.

I'm wondering what I'll be wearing at the Golf Club in July when we meet... there is a smart dress code there and they don't like to see too much of your body...haha.. so I'm thinking of a dress and shrug... what a lovely thought...

We'll all be feeling so much better... love and hugs xxx

Maz what a fab way to spend your recuperation period... Just one thing though, forget online catalogues. You will (as Grace says) love going into shops and trying things on. It's a fabulous feeling when you reach a rack of clothes and start looking in the middle rather than going straight to the back to see what the biggest size is.

I have to say i went to a wedding yesterday in a dress that came above my knee, was sheer and very girly and pretty and i felt absolutely bloody marvellous. More importantly i felt 'normal', now they don't sell that in Next cos we get it for nothing :)

I keep thinking we should start a 'lust' thread. Post pics of things we've seen that we are lusting after and post where you saw it etc....

Hey that's a great idea Julie ! It would be really inspirational. And we could post pictures wearing some of our new togs too as I think we all need help learning about styling post-op. xx

Fab idea Julie :D It passes many an hour for me looking at all the lovely stuff I will be able to wear...one day ;) XX

I'm also enjoying wearing some of the rings I couldn't wear before... a lovely feeling girls and inspirational... what a good feeling for 2011...

The most important part of this journey for me has been the preparation beforehand and learning pre op... it's been wonderful preparation and I feel I'm in good mental shape thanks to that... getting my head around the surgery before going for it was well worth waiting for... and I'm loving it so far... love you all too, no exceptions xxx

I'm wearing no rings at all at the moment because they're way too big now and I'm terrified of losing them. My wedding ring is being resized now but I just had an estimate to do my engagement ring... £160!!!!!! It's so expensive because all the claws need redoing too. So I won't be getting that done  We're going to wait till we go back to Goa and get it done there along with my eternity ring, which was made there anyway.

Awww bless Rose, you'll do it love, it something else to aim for... what is the usual cost of getting a ring size altered over here?

Love and hugs xxx

Aww Bev and theres me thinking I could get in the Golf Club in a sequin boob tube and leggings with over the knee boots to finish it off!Maz x

Ive not been on here for a while since my op but what an inspiration yet again to see the successes. Im loving the newly emerging Jayne and feel absolutely brilliant 3 months post op.

Cant wait for summer as I'm an easy 18 and at 5ft 10 that suits me perfectly for now.
Thanks again for making me smile xxx

Jayne
