when using a smaller plate/bowl how small should they be? thanks

I was advised to use ramekins as a good measure of the correct portion size in the early days. For plates tea plates will hold more than you can eat, some people use side plates as time goes on and others use baby plates. Basically anything small to prevent you being over eager with your portions. I also use baby spoons and teaspoons to prevent me taking too big of bite of something. I brought a baby weaning kit for when I was first out of hospital, it had tiny little Tupperware freezer cubes (you can just use ice cube trays) and little pots that were great for purée foods. As for your bowls I use small ice cream bowls but I measure things like soup in a mug. Hope this helps :) x
