Port pain

Hi

I was banded 17th December at THG by Dr Super. Everything went brilliant and am already losing weight.

I'm having discomfort though from the port pipe thing. When I move after sleeping it's almost as if it is moving about inside.

Anyone know anything about this and can help I would really appreciate it.

thanks diane

Hi I have no answers but I was banded on the 10th by Mr Super and I'm experiencing the same feelings! How are u feeling?

on the whole I feel fine but take today for instance - when I woke up this morning I went to move and I honestly thought the pipe was moving about under my skin. it took me a few and painful attempts to get off the bed. Once up and about it was fine.
it sems to be when I have been sleeping on my side - only comfy position at minute. can't sleep on opposite side of band and only so long on my back. I am really hoping that this all settles down as the bruising inside settles. If not I shall be on the phone lol.
Hows the weightloss going though

regards diane

Yeah the muscle pain is the worst part for me, not bad I've lost 1 stone 3 pounds in 3 weeks but I'be now stopped weighing so often and am planning on a weigh in Saturday, just looking forward to my dietician appointment hoping they will give me more of an idea of what I should be doing. X

Hello there fellow bander

I found that the port pain was the last to go, it will subside eventually your very early days out. If your in doubt at all or have any real worries contact your provider. Wishing you all the best and well done on losing the weight . Bd x x

Its one of those things that will ease. I spent the first 4-5 days having to sleep on my back and propped up, a) for comfort and b) because getting out of bed was the hardest with the soreness inside. It does ease but it can be uncomfortable . . .take your painkillers or whatever to help ease with the pain :)
