Hi guys!
I was admitted into hospital on saturday 7th, had been on a mlk and yoghurt diet for three weeks, then a liquid diet for one day, and starving from 12pm. got to the hospital 7am, and about 12pm was told the procedure was cancelled! very upsetting! there were some problems with equipment and as it was weekend, replacements could not be found.

It was rearranged for 11th may, and I was given an extra two years support as compensation. things happen for a reason i suppose.

checked in, feeling nice and chirpy, had the op, was in for 4 hours instead of two as by blood pressure kept dropping. when i woke up the nurses around me were talking through a recipe on lemon cake, which certainly did not help lol!!

went to my room to see my mum and husband waiting for me, had alot of back neck and shoulder pain, and annoying blood pressure pumpers around my legs. couldnt sleep at all, walking was painful etc. just sipped icy water all day and the next morning, was very dry and dozy through anasethic.

Anyyyway came back home thursday, had alot of gas pain past 4 days, and been only taking clear liquids. today is day four and have started with milk fruit and yoghurt. feeling absolutely fantastic!

I was 16.5 on op day and 16.1 today. going to start weighing weekly so i dont get obsessesd with numbers

been out today for the first time for a drive around, as a practice run for tommorow. in uni all day, having a fruit smoothie for brekky and soup for lunch. water and juice in between. cant wait for the soup!!

thank you guys for your best wishes and i look forward to sharing my journey with you.

p.s i attend uni as im doing my masters in social work and vulnerable people, whilst working on a child protection team for a local authority. although i get paid for it it was very hard to take up so much responsibility with absesses, pain and so much weight to carry.

im half way through the course and i am feeling so good about doing better, ive spent the last ten years studying in pain/stitches/bad moods and absense for operations :(
