Today my son gave me a pair of size 40" jeans stating I would need to replace my wardrobe soon.

I am 11 days post op (band) with a 54" inch waist but you have got to love his support and belief.

Challenge accepted!!

Thanks Starr, it's a big jouney we have all started so I will hang these jeans up with a current photo so I know where i have come from and where I want to be.

At least its not an unachievable target now. And it won't be that long until you're there either.
I think I'm going to have a rummage about in my 3 bags of 'thin' clothes in the loft and find a piece of clothing that I want to get back into, and then I'll hang it on the back of the bedroom door as an incentive!

It happens so quickly you'll probably get in to 38 inch waist and fly straight through the 40! I had loads of 20 size clothes that never saw the light of day and went straight to the charity shop. Enjoy the journey!

i agree with sue , wish there were more photos on ,its such a thrill to see guys and girls pics and how much they change over the journey, makes it seem more reachable when you see them, x

You will fly into them!I think men lose very quickly from the waistline.so look forward to seeing the evidence!

Thank you everyone for all of your support and encouragement.

I will certainly post before and after pics. Went to see the surgeon today and 6.3kgs down 12 days post op but I am still on fluids until Wednesday.

Don't we just love our kids, they give us so much encouragement and inspiration, I don't know where I'd be without mine, they have given me so much support through my journey and it sounds like you've got the same, good luck and I know you will be wearing those jeans sooner than you think, Karen x

Thanks Karen. I have 4 great children, all very supportivebut none more so than my wife. I know that with the love and support of my family, success is on the horizon.
