Has anyone got ideas for packed lunches, post op? I understand that bread can be hard to digest so sarnies are out.
I see elsewhere someone has individual cheeses but what else do you inventive peeps do?:break_diet:

Melba toast and spreadable cheese....crudites and a pot of cottage cheese or houmous, egg tortilla, lovely fresh tomato, basil and mozzarella salad.......... hope these help xxxxx

Certainly do, sound yummy pre op too

I also have melba toast with philly cheese. Carrs melts are nice too, I have cooked meats and babybell light. Sometimes I will have mackerel and tomato sauce with melba toast too. :D XX

What are Carrs Melts? Are they a type of crispbread or cracker?

I struggle with work lunches and usually end up resorting to salad or soup from Pret a Manger almost every day. Gets a bit boring ! I don't eat bread (to be honest I'm terrified to try it..) but I'm OK with flatbread and I've discovered recently that I can eat a Pret hot tortilla wrap. They do a jalapeno chicken & cheese one which is delish and makes a nice change from soup when I need something warm - I only eat half so I keep the other half for the evening or the next day ! On the subject of crackers & biscuits I keep a box of Nairns cheesy oatcakes in the office - they're NAS and wholegrain as well as yummy.

I use ryvita crispbread or tortilla wrap, individual cheeses, chicken bites/nuggets and whatnot

I love the cracked black pepper Ryvita...

Again Im sure its my pregnancy but I have to have carbs - so for me, its similar to pre op - small brown roll with meat and salad or coleslaw etc. fruit, peanuts - the usual stuff really - just smaller portions

I mainly take in home-made salad with some form of protein or soups, but have dried fried/nuts to snack on, plus a tub of different crispbread/crackers etc in my drawer, which I'll top with philly, cheese spread or pate. I sometimes also take in a little bit of whatever I made for tea the night before, maybe a casserole or stew & veg etc xxx
