Pouchy doesn't like ham

First time I have tried ham since the op. Just thought I'd have a quick supper of a slice of ham with garlic philli in the middle.

I knew from the first bite it wasn't going to work. But tried another ... and then gave up.

I've had the philli numerous times so doubt it was that.

Ah well, maybe later on.

hi karen,

sorry ham isnt right at this minute,I must admit its hard testing all the different foods you can or not tolerate.
One day Im ok with chicken, then the next it got stuck even though I ate the same portion..ah well!
still wouldnt change anything for the world!...lol
how are you keeping?has your hairloss been any better

I'm fine thanks hun. How about you?

My hair loss is more but not horrific at the moment. I have such thick hair I really can stand to lose some so I'm not really worried.

Food wise I'm doing really well and have now learned to recognise when I'm full and need to stop eating.

Tomorrow I am trying pork joint for the first time so we'll see how that goes ;)

ah pork..yum.
well after my 2 incidents of getting food stuck last week,Im being very very careful.
I was in so much pain and frothing at mouth...lol

I have noticed my hair coming out a bit especially brushing, and in shower.
but Ive bought a really soft brush and avoiding bobbles etc,my hair is soo thin,so I cannot lose much or Ill be bald.

I went to manchester today and bought clothing from PRIMARK in 18...wow,thats never happened!
Did you ever ask doc about the zinc?..lol x

oh! cheeky things for charging for the injection, youve paid enough money to them.

Ham sometimes gives me the quick restriction feeling Karen, too think i used to pick at loads of it, couple of slices now i'm like....<<sigh>> that's enough!

Karen you could try tinned ham. I had that a while ago as my dietician recommended it. t didn't give me any trouble at all. It's very nice cut up in little bits with cheese in an omelette.

aw karen you poor thing, i hope things change and you can tolerate it some other time. big hugs xxxxxxxx

Just try it again in a few months sweetie. I was like that too and it got really bad with any meat that I ate. I'm nearly 8 months post op now and I'm fine again x

Ive been quite lucky I think Ive only had one incident with meat and that was the rabid dog/vomit (sorry!) last weekend with beef, Ive had it before and since so I think it was probably something I did wrong rather than the meat .... I can tolerate chicken and ham and tried a little lamb and was ok (hope it continues!) XX
