Has anyone had trouble eating prawns post bypass? My sheet says be very careful with them and chew them thouroghly. I know we are supposed to chew everything really well but just wondered why these are singled out on my sheet. The only thing I can think of is if there is any shell on them. What are your experiences with prawns?

Even well chewed they can stick Mandy they go kind of gloopy and might stick its all down to texture plus they are high in salt so not very good for you.

OMG!
I adore seafood....is this going to be a problem....or will I know longer want them anyway

I'm still confused as to how I will feel about food post op!:(

Its a very individual thing you will be suprised what you no longer like and amazed at stuff you hated and now love!

I had prawns week 2 but i blended then up with some really light mayo and they were lovely. I too love my seafood so will be gutted if i cannot eat them properly again.

There's nothing wrong with prawns ladies. Just remember when you start eating go for the smaller prawns first, not as muscly. The big prawns hurt to eat but the smaller ones are great to start out on.

It's all protein and all good xx
