PRE-ACCEPTANCE WEIGHT LOSS

Who amongst you had to lose a specified amount of weight before the PCT would give you funding. An if you did, did you manage to do it ?

No I was the opposite, my GP told me to put 2lbs on to meet the criteria, then because I'd tried so many different weight loss options I didn't have to lose any before I was accepted.
Also this varies massively from one PCT to another.
A very unfair system in my opinion, I think there should be a national set of criteria.

Thanks Evenstarr. Since when did fair play come in to it with local health services ??? Its safe to say I am struggling and I have probably only got about 4 more weeks before I am reviewed again by the Weight Management team to see if I qualify. I am such a pillock. I really don't think I deserve this surgery. I can't even lose the weight necessary to be considered. I've blown my only chance. I'm not looking for sympathy as its all my own doing. No thin girl to look forward to for me.

I'm sure someone on here has posted they had a similar target weight to loose, failed and the provider just extended the time to reach the target. I just got told to loose something and I'm between pre-op and getting a date.

I am at Luton and Dunstable and I and others had to lose 5% body weight in a month by doing the milk diet, if you fail they will extend it by an extra month, after that you are booted off. Most people do manage the loss, I did it comfortably within the month but there is at least one lady on here who missed on her first attempt and had to go through the whole process again.

I'm sure you will be fine try and knuckle down u will be amazed how much u can lose in 2 wks. Good Luck x

4 weeks even you can do it xxx
