pre op heartburn

Hello all, I am having my op on Tuesday, I am on the soup and yoghurt pre op diet and am suffering from excrutiating heartburn so bad it is making me cough !!! Regular antacids are having no effect, does anyone have any ideas? did anyone else suffer from this on their pre - op ?

Yes I had it for some time before my op and was prescibed Omeprazole, but now take Lansoprazol now.

thankyou ...forgot i have some omeprazole from earlier this year when i was treated for h pylori will take one and contact bn in morning to see what she can suggest ...
