I am having my consulation today at Dolan Park (THG) and as my op is Thursday May 5th, i am also having my pre-op today. Does anyone know what that involves. Also, I am a type 2 diabetic and my blood sugar has been a bit high lately - will that effect my surgery?

Does anyone know what that involves.

They swab your mouth and groin area for MRSA & C-Diff. Giant cotton buds swiped across your groin region and in your mouth.

Also fill out a health questionnaire.

I'm not medically trained. IMHO I don't think this matters. When you think about the amount of bypassers who have gone into surgery with chronic diabetes. Just be truthful on your questionnaire and they'll take the necessary precautions.
