Hello everyone,

I hope to find someone on this site that can tell me if they have felt the same way I do with the band.

I had my band done almost two years ago and I still struggle to get goos restriction. When I have a fill it feels as if its good for around a day and then it seems to go away. I'm frustrated now as I got this procedure done to allow me to push ahead with my last course of fertility treatment this year.

Can anyone tell me if the have experienced the same or similar please as I am going out of my mind with worry that I may have wasted my money on having it done. I'm almost 42 and really wanted to have had some weight off by now but feel it's been very very slow.

Hoping you all are having better luck than myself.

Regards

Mandy xx

how much have you lost since you were banded and how full is your band? my bands not worked for a while but I can say it is a way of life to live with rather than just something to loose weight , there are some great banders on here that im sure will be able to help you

mandy, welcome :)

Firstly what has your provider said, what help or advice have they given you?

Also where are you In Terms of band size and how much is in there?

I'm 11 months post surgery and have very very minimal restriction from my band, I can eat anything I want and in whatever amount I want, bu it really is a choice of making the right decision as far as food goes.

Do you keep a food diary, are you working to calorie limits or focussing on protein? What do you eat in terms of types and amounts of food? Do you eat band friendly foods or slider foods? As this really can work with the band and in terms of restriction...

If you feel able to share more about where you are, what have you lost etc then I'm sure we can help further :)
