question about going private & nhs

When I got my band, I got a 2 years aftercare package. But I was just wondering, in 2 years time, if I'm not where I want to be, and I went to my doctors, does anyone know if it would be possible to have further band adjustments on the nhs?

I don't plan on actually having to do this, but its crossed my mind a few times.

You will need adjustments for the life of the band, so if you have it ten years it will need fine tuning over those ten years.

You will have to apply for funding to go down this route or find a private provider and pay.

oh i know i'd just have to go private & pay, but i was just wondering if it was possible to get funding for adjustments even though the operation was private.

It can be possible, you need to contact your local PCT...

its possible but rare, usually only if theres complications they will take a private patient on, it is worth a ask tho, you may be one of the lucky ones x
