I eat a yoghurt for lunch and this evenings have eaten a full tin of soup :-/ what was everyone else eatening at this point? Don't get me wrong I'm still stuffed but do u think that was too much??

I'm not sure what you've had but I couldn't have that much after 3 days.

From what I understand as a bander you may not have restriction initially - hopefully another bander will be along soon to help.

Hi! I have just had surgery very recently also. I have built up to taking two slimfasts daily and now a whole tin of soup/portion homemade soup as well. I'm 9 days post op. I had raised concerns about my intake with the forum before and was advised to contact my provider.

Today to help my wounds heal I was told to have an extra slimfast by my provider, so I am now hitting the 1000 calorie mark and feel better for it.

Listen to your body, it will soon tell you if it needs more :)

Is that how many calories I should be having Hun?

It varies from person to person how much you can get through but if you have too few you might feel poorly.

Have another look at your post op diet sheet to check what that says x

I was having slim fast for brekky, slim fast for lunch, and tin soup for dinner, plus about 5 cups tea daily, and snacking of liquidated fruit by the end of the first week. I actually started half a weetabix in second week due to constipation problems.

I couln't eat that much at day 3. A can of soup was split between lunch and dinner. Had a yoghurt for breakfast. On day 11 now and I only had half a tin of soup for my tea last night. I was very tired though and didn't want to have too much before going to bed.

The thing is we are all different. I feel as though I'm eating much, much more now and have started to worry that I'm eating too much. As a result, I'm going to start tracking my food so I don't let the damaging thoughts and feelings of guilt associated with eating creep back into my life.

At this stage i could drink a cup of soup in one sitting. I drank a lot of fluids and tea because I was quite gassy.
My provider just said just drink what you can as and when. I would say at this stage take it slow and listen to your body allow it to heal.
In my opinion I would say don't worry too much about calories at this stage, if you stick to the fluid list given to you, your calorie intake will stay on the low side by default.
