I do hope so I adore salad. I love nothing better than going to a restraunt with a salad bar. The kids laugh at me when we go to Pizza Hut cause I eat tons of salad and just a couple of bits of pizza. Love it.

I was told that I could start eating salads and raw vegetables around 12 weeks post bypass and am really looking forward to that with two weeks to go :)

As for bread I have found that I can eat any type of bread, even had half a crusty white roll (the part bake type) without ill effect. Have to eat small quantity and chew for Britain but is lovely to have with soup when you don't fancy a larger meal. One bread I would recommend you try first would be a soft brown thin slice. After not being able to eat bread with the band I am really chuffed to be able to eat it again after so long.

Toast is always a good way to start eating bread again,ww danish goes nice and crunchy. Then you can progress to other types. You wont eat much but its good to have4 the choice.I still dont eat much salad if any at all,it never enters my head and I loved it preop!Maz x

I would always have a bowl of salad in the fridge with lettuce, cucumber, tomato, peppers, red onion/ spring onions. Breadwise - i was advised by my team that i should really try and avoid bread apart from toast as it swells up in ur tummy. If i do have bread I always make sure its a good multigrain bread - can only manage one slice (its great cos a shop bought sandwich does me 2 days now lol)

Burgens Soya & Linseed is the best post bypass bread as it is far higher in protein than any other.

I'm fine with salad, but I find bread fills me up so quickly that I generally avoid it.
