Hi, I've some questions regarding LB recovery for you post op ladies and gents:

1) How long where you in hospital?

2) How long was the operation?

3) When could you drive again?

4) How long before you went back to work?

5) When were you able to do small tasks e.g. put a wash on?

Thank you xx

Hi, I've some questions regarding LB recovery for you post op ladies and gents:

1) How long where you in hospital? I had my op in the morning and stayed in over night - home first thing the next morning.

2) How long was the operation? About 45 mins - I think!?

3) When could you drive again? I had my op on a Saturday, was given the all clear by my GP to drive after an appointment the following Friday.

4) How long before you went back to work? I took a week off work.

5) When were you able to do small tasks e.g. put a wash on? Probably around 2 days after coming home.

Thank you xx

Hope that helps, remember though that everyone is different. Just do what you feel able to, dont push yourself but try to move around as much as poss to shift the wind! x

I agree wiv maz, Each person can give u their own experience etc but only u know how ur gonna feel and each body takes its own time to recouperate- where as I was able to walk round shops etc after two days....some ppl couldnt manage this - I didnt stay in hosp at all I was a day case (not nut case, lol) Just take each day as it comes and u will know when ur ready to do the tasks set out in your original thread. xx

A friend of mine had her surgery on Friday and was back to work on Tuesday. She works in a call center so she sits on her butt all day. Lol My doc says it depends on what type of job you have.

Stayed in for 1 night - home next morning.

Surgery was 40 mins.

Driving after 6 days.

Back to work after 9 days. (on my feet most of the time, so felt very tired for a few days, perhaps back a little too early).

Could put washing on within a couple of days, vacuaming took a couple of weeks, as cleaner is heavy to manouvre.

All in all as the others have said - listen to your body and don`t try to do too much too soon. It could set you back if not careful.

You`re not planning to go back to work early are you? the best thing if you have the operation is to have as much rest for as long as possible.

Good Luck for when it comes Sarah, not that long to wait now!

Love and Best wishes Kat x
