Questions to ask pre-op

Hi y'all,

I have picked up on some things to ask the bariatric team before surgery. These are below. Is there anything else I should consider?

1. Will my gall bladder be removed?
2. What can I expect in terms of aftercare?
3. What dietary advice will I be given in respect of -
- stages of reintroduction of foods
- nutritional advice
4. Will I be prescribed vitamins?

some other suggestions:

What pre op diet do they suggest and for how long should you follow it pre op

What will they do, and how will they detect a leakage ?

What recovery time does the surgeon expect post op ?

Expected eating regime post op - I.E how many weeks on liquids, mush etc ?

Follow up appointments with your surgeon, at what intervals ?

How long will you be in hospital for ?

Will they recomend a vitimin regime ?

To be honest i had a load of information from the organisation i went private through, so most of the questions i asked were just to confirm what i'd read beforehand.
There does seem to be a variety of advice given out by different surgeons, so my suggestion would be to listen to him, ask some questions and take his advice
