I have been told to try this as it's high in protein and not so tough... Does any one find this easy to eat cos I sure do ... Mind u I think I like it ;-) xxx

I eat Quorn several times a week and love it! Their website and cookbook has some great recipes and it is low in fat and a good source of protein.

I usually do a bulk cook of chilli, sausage casserole, mince & veg, bolognese etc. and freeze portions.

I also do loads of stir-fries, curries etc. I find the sausages, burgers etc can be a little dry if you overcook them so usually do them in a lidded pan to keep the moisture in.

The also do a lot of ready meals now and if you compare calories. fat etc with the meat version, you will see a huge difference.

I've found that basically any meat recipe can be replace with a Quorn equivalent.

Have a look at their website - hope you enjoy the recipes!

Just edited to say that I just noticed you were one of Mr Ammori's bypassers too! - He is just fantastic and I hope you've had as good a journey as I've had after my op with him - your stats are very impressive - good luck!

Have just been in tesco and got some of the Cumberland sausages to try them.

Oh an some fromage frais low fat to mix with almond essence and dip strawberries in it as a snack later.

Mind u one side effect of this quorn is wind !!!!!!

I have to admit I've tended to avoid Quorn but reading what has been written here had encouraged me to have a look at the website.

As a veggie I love quorn and make lots of things with it . The mince is very melt in the mouth so a lot easier to eat if meat eaters are struggling with chewy dead animals :D !! Lol I don't find it expensive compared to good quality meat as I find once u have added veggies , sauce etc and considering we are only eating tiny bits now it's good value :D I should work for quorn really !!

Have only tried the sausages at the moment oh and the mini scotch eggs warmed up in the George Forman, did notice that the local tesco do a lasagne may give that a try another day.

can eat a lot of it thou that's my only concern x

I'm a recent convert, tried the mince in a bolognaise & the pieces in a curry both yummy. I've tried dried soya mince as well not so nice but I think it needed soaking first to be better will try that another day.
Lidls have quorn mince & pieces on offer at the moment at £1.19 a bag.

I have never even thought of trying Quorn I am such a big meat eater usually. I'm defo going to try this x
