Really struggling...

I'm having a wee problem of getting enough anything down me and I'm not sure what to do next!!!

Had a 10ml band fitted on may 1st with a 1ml fill, the trouble is I simply can't get enough down my neck so to speak, today I feel awful with what feels like and upset stomach ( low down gurgling and tenderness) but I feel nauseous and the wind pains today is phenomenally bad, a stabbing knife in my shoulder constantly.

I've had sips of peppermint tea, but I have a feeling of having just eaten 3 Christmas dinners!! I feel bursting full !! I haven't had enough to warrant going to the loo ( No.2) and I tested my wee and I'm in raging ketosis.

Unsure if its just a final burst of wind trying to go or my bands too tight but I feel weak and poorly.

Any thoughts???

Just wanted to say poor you and I hope some banders will give you some good advice real soon. Hang in there.

Hi Jouella

I really feel for you I got worse before I got better ring THG if your not getting much fluid but the wind is so painful and can make you poorly i went for small walks and someone on here was advised by GP to have colpermin capsules, (peppermint oil) these may help as nothing else helped me it just took time and rest before I started to get stronger. I was also constipated and it took time.

Hope you feel better soon just take each day at a time I improved slightly each day. Lisa x

Hi Jou - sorry to hear you're feeling rough. I was pretty similar after my op. Give your provider a ring if you're worried and all my advice is based on my experience. Try to get liquids in you and do it slowly, sip sip sip all day, this was very boring for me and i had wind pain every time i ate or drank. Your insides are swollen so the bloated feeling is normal. No 2 takes a while :) For the wind pain, moving helps most, particularly walking and going up and down the stairs. Also get someone to gently pat your back, that helped me loads. I also found sitting on my knees, leaning on the sofa with my elbows quite comfortable with nothing pressing on the abdomen. It will pass and I promise you won't remember the wind pain once you start losing weight :) hang in there! X
