Recording video to video

My dad is compiling a tape of his fave football team and is trying to tape all their TV appearances. He inadvenrtantly taped tonights Scotsport onto the wrong tape.

Can any one tell me how I can record tape to tape to put it on the one tape.

Now bearing in mind Im a total hopeless case with these things I really need it as if youre telling a 5 year old. My mum and dad have 2 videos in the house and I have spare Scart leads if needed

Thanks :)

You need 2 vcr's...

You need one to play a tape

The other to record it..

So um, yeah this can get complicated.

My advice is you need to be able to chain them together.

So VCR with original tape -> VCR with new tape -> Tv

So when your able to see VCR With original tape through the VCR with the new tape, on the TV your ready to record from one tape to another.

Its going to take some experimenting and I have no idea if you are going to be able to chain VCR's together.

Ok heres my first daft question

What kind of connections do I use to link them all together lol

its usualy a scart cable, its a black cable and at each end has a plug which has loads of pins. The plug has a square head with one side slated.
