Hi there im due to have my surgery on 27th August going from band to bypass and just wondered if anyone had any experience of this surgery?
I know it is going to take longer than a "normal" bypass but does anyone know how long their actualy took?
Also my surgeon said that where the band it fitted is where they usually do the staples so he will have to do it a little further down
resulting in a slightly bigger pouch?? obviously i am worried that this will mean i can eat much more than a "normal" bypasser?
He also said that if there was too much scarring then he may have to perform a duodenal switch blimey now im really scared as i have never heard of this procedure before so i have been looking on here to try and find somone who has.
Any advice or information would be very gratefuly received x
