Just spent the last 20 minutes in floods of tears watching Marley and Me - Maybe I just needed a good cry.

I couldn't make it 30 minutes into that, I have a labrador like Marley and seeing Marley when he gets old just has me in tears too, and I'm a bloke.

That makes me feel a little better!

My 80 year old mum watched it at a local film club, I am just glad I wasn't out in public. I am still weepy now - daft moo.

My doggy has got to have an op next month (well I decided next month as we can convalesce together). Hers is to remove one or more fatty lumps and mine is because I am a fatty lump!

Sounds like one of those films I'll have to watch during the day she I'm on my own!!

omg !,no one told me it was sad! ,i was crying ,that silly , quiet sobbing cry, with the cushion in front off my face ,i looked round and my 6ft 5",son had a tear, and my rufty tufty builder hubby had one too,not seen that since butch dingle died ,and jack duckworth passed away !,lol,we all love our pets,no matter what anyone says ,they are part of our family, just wish someone would warn me first to have the tissues near by! haha x

LOL I thought it was a comedy too - funny how soft we are with pets. I watched Philadelphia last night and didn't cry when Tom Hanks died, even though his performance was very moving.

I wept too cos we had a Lab and watched him grow old, when Marley couldnt get up it brought it all back.I always get upset when animals suffer sod people!I saw a poor duckling quacking for its mum on the canal yesterday and there was no other ducks in sight, well guess who was worried all evening!Im quackers!

OMG that is so true I also watched Marley and me and blubbed, but ended up having a topical debate with hubby following Philadelphia!

We are all such softies.

Well, whatever you do, don't watch 'Hatchi - A Dog's Tale...' it will leave you a blubbering wreck!

my sis warned me not to watch but I took no notice... and sobbed my heart out at the end - and I'm more of a cat person!

I hope you went back today and checked on it! But yes I am like that too.

We never had kids but bought our first doggy - a black and white collie pup - on our honeymoon so went back with a furry baby called Honey! I was devastated for over a year, when she died at nearly 17. We did get a new puppy after two weeks but I thought she hated me as she only bit me (with puppy teeth) and not hubby. We still have honey in her box on the landing - I couldn't bear to bury her. And I still think 'new doggy' hates me!

I mean we have Honey's ashes in a box on the landing - not actually her.
