Salads

After the op how do people get on eating fruit veg and salads

Fruits ok but unfortunately since it's always been one of my favourite things, salad doesn't go down brilliantly with me. I can eat it though only a tiny amount I'm talking one small lettuce leaf, a cherry tomato and a slice of cucumber with maybe a desert spoonful of coleslaw. I don't find it easy to digest now days.

Thanks. I did wonder. What's a healthy diet then

Salad doesn't go down great with me either, spring onions and tomatoes are a complete NO.

Grapes and Oranges are also a big NO for me.

Broccoli is ok, but lots of chewing and chewing !

I am the complete opposite, I can eat, tomatoes, apples, grapes, strawberries, pears, the only fruit that has caused me an issue is banana and that's because I forgot to chew it properly!! I can eat all sorts of cooked veg, peas, corn, brocolli with no ill effect, not huge quantities, but enough to keep things moving!!

I can eat all cooked veg with no problem. Just remember to eat all your protein first then eat some veg and if you have room potato or carbs.

To be honest I eat pretty much what the family eats but in a 2 year olds portion. I had one sausage, a scoop of mash and a tablespoon of beans for dinner tonight and a baby size fromage frais.

I can eat fruit, veg and salad fine. From about 12 weeks post op for salad. Everyone reacts differently but I don't have a problem with any of it. Pineapple can be a bit of a funny texture to digest but find crunchy veg is great because you can chew. Most things that you can crunch and chew into a mush tends to go down well :)

I'm ok with lettuce tomatoe cucumber and most veg. I'm really struggling with fruit can't find any that goes down ok xxx

Cucumber. I'm fine with anything else. Just not cucumber!

(just looked at the word "cucumber" - it's a wierd word!)
