Sausages???

Hi, I ate the inside of half a sausage during the soft food stage but fancy trying a sausage with its skin on. I can't eat fish , can only manage tinned mince in the meat department and am absolutely fine with chicken. How've you been with sausages folks?

Too soon for me to think about trying them. But I think as long as you buy low fat ones, they should be ok . . . Hope so. Let me know how you get on! x

Tbh you are just glad to be able to eat at this stage so try a couple of skinless sausages,plaice and sole are the easiest fish to digest and go down best.Mash the fish with cheese sauce!

Quorn sausages go down ok but only one as it sticks a bit. Dietician said they were ok for me as high protein and low fat. X

I went ahead and ate the sausage-skin and all, and although full, I had no pain or sickness.
BB, I just can't seem to manage any fish at all. Have tried it all, all ways and no matter how careful I am I get horrendous pain and am eventually sick.
Suzz- strangley quorn sausages and quorn beef flavour meat slices have made me very ill. I'm fine with quorn mince and have some quorn burgers to try.
BB- you are so right about being happy to find anything to eat. Tea tonight went really weell. Had the sausage, a spoonful of mash. same of mushy peas and gravy and a bit later ate a whole lf yoghurt. I feel like I've had my first 'proper' meal.

I've fancied sausages might give it a whirl! Had quorn sausage and quorn steak they made me very ill too :-(

I have sausages now, but make sure they are the really good quality, high meat content (above 80%) type.
They're more expensive, but the cheaper ones are just full of fat and rusk, so have a higher carb content.

I don't like cheap sausages unless Im suffering with a hangover then anything would have done! ;-)

Iv eaten sausage and been ok but can't eat alot but I use hot dogs as a replacement and enjoy them the same way xx

i tried a mashed up sausage with smash and cheese the other night ................i ended throwing the sausage in the bin as it made me feel sick soon after trying it but black pudding seems to go down well

2.5 yrs out and still can't eat sausage unless quorn or linda mc's. Hope you enjoyed yours Deb

My daughter and her partner breed pigs and make the best ever sausages and I thought I wouldn't be able to have them.......now I think I'll give them a whirl
