Sky+ magic eye help required

Hi folks anyone had a sky+ plus control and magic eye for a second tv? I bought one on saturday for my tv in the bedroom so I could change my sky over whilst laying in bed. It worked for two days, came in last night switched TV on and nothing. Took it back to the shop after trying everything and got a replacement, my son has just installed it and yes nothing yet again. I had got really attached to it as I work a lot of late shifts and like to unwind in bed catching up on the tv etc. Anyone got a technical mind with suggestions of what I can try other than throwing it out of the window lol..xx

I'm having the same problem I can get the picture but it won't turn over the channels in the bedroom, so frustrating especially as tonight my lovely other half is working so I wanted to watch some tv in bed instead. I hate new year so wanted to fall asleep before midnight really but never mind so any help would be good, I know its the magic eye part of it but any help would be great! xx

Hi Nic do you think it might be something to do with sky? I am going to call them tomorrow as it worked fine the first two nights and all I did was turn the tv off to go to work returned a few hours later and thats it! I will let you know what I find out..I kind of rely on it and thought it was the bees knees lol...driving everyone mad asking them to fix it...xx

God knows, it was working one minute then that was that, not sure if its Sky plus its not working on cos it was fine with normal sky. Let me know how you get on though.
I went out in the end with my mates but missed Col loads, really wanted to bring 2009 in with him but not to be, he did ring me though and got through amazingly, still he will be home in 6 hours (not that I'm counting lol).

At least col will be home soon I had to make do with kissing my cats happy new year lol...my son is out clubbing and whilst my daughter has not spoken to me for 10 months I did send her a text but got no reply....ah well its a new year now and time for a new me!...speak soon and I cant wait to meet you too..xx

Hiya, yes Col got in about 9ish then fell straight to sleep bless him so I got up and sorted Alfie out he's being very good today. Going to do roast lamb for dinner tonight so just been sorting all that out. Will be great to meet up with you too and soon xxxx

Just been on to sky regarding this, ran through lots of checks, he has now advised I bring the magic eye down stairs and connect it directly to the tv and to try the remote control from behind the tv to see if the eye will change the channels, if it does its the cable to the other tv and if it does not its a fault on the sky plus box which an engineer will need to fix....at least I know I am not going mad! Have to say the guy was a tad inpatient its hard struggling on your knees to try and read the back of sky boxes especially when its stuck in a unit with only a small space for the cables....and I am knocking on a bit now lol..xx

My son went to disconnect the magic eye to try it downstairs as recommended by sky and guess what??? It was working ok in the bedroom...I guess it must be when the signal drops low on sky it disappears....at least I know its working...xx

Flaming typical, I haven't the patience to be messing with it at the mo but col at work on Sunday so I'll have another go then xx
