Just been to the hospital to get fitted with this lovely machine, all wired up. I'm going to have an eventful night. Hope I pass ok so my opp will be a step closer :sigh:

I had the best nights sleep ever when I was first tested! Sleep apnoea is counted as a comorbidity so won't hinder they journey, it may even help.

Hope you have a good night - roll on October x

Well I didn't sleep that well due to all the wire's, But am up and ready to go back through the hospital. I wonder if I will get the results straight away?

At least you'll sleep well tonight. I completely sympathise - I slept on my youngest's floor last night because she was poorly and she's off nursery today so I'm wrecked!

Let us know how you get on x

Cheers Newcy! They said I wont find out for a couple of weeks. So! fingers crossed. I hope your little one is feeling better soon hun, their is nothing worse when ya bairn is bad.

Hi I have had sleep apnea for years now but must say once you get used to it your nights sleep will be so much better it took me a while to get used to it but now cannot sleep without it good luck

I dont think I have it Maphillips, Its just SRH wanting me to have the checks. ready for my next appointment. I think its the consultant next then the Endoscopy, which I'm dreading.

Thanks hun - thankfully I'm not working at the mo so I can stay home and just give her lots of cuddles.

I can't say anything positive about the endo - other than like childbirth, the memory fades in time. It only lasts a few minutes x

lmao I bloody hope it fades lol x

Hiya, you don't usually get your results straight away takes bout a fortnight usually or longer sometimes, they don't hurry. Then you would have to see the sleep nurse in the sleep clinic for a machine if you have it. Then the endoscopy, my forst 1 was fine not a sbad as i thought, then after bout 6 weeks got a letter saying i needed another 1 that wasn't as good due to the fact that i don't thionk i had enough throat spray but i got through it, and i'm not brave, i was so proud of myself, even more so once i left hospital after my op months later what a feeling. Its just another box and hoop to tick and jump through on the way to the biggy(op). Just take it in your stride. xx Have sedation if you think you need to you do have the choice. The nurses are very good the 1st one i had was really nice she stroked my hair and kept talking to me the whole time telling me to just keep deep breathing and not to panic, she really helped a lot you just have to listen to what they say to you, they say its better if you watch the screen but i didnt ask to wish i had, but the test itself doesnt last long its the fear of something new again. Just keep an open mind xx ;)

I would need to have the spray chrisa. I will be driving to the appointment. which I no is a long way off. but I am so cockley. So! I hope to god the spray will do the job lol x

I found the spray fine - my throat didn't hurt at all, during or after. Unfortunately they can't stop the gagging, they can only sedate you so you don't notice it so much but then you have to stay in hospital longer and have someone to take you home.

As awful as it was, I'm glad I wasn't sedated for the sake of a few minutes x

cheers for that, I think thats what I will be like x
