Sleep patterns

Has anyone post op had problems with sleeping? I used to sleep really well prior to having my op, but now I seem to spend all night tossing and turning! I have sleep apnea and wonder if my loss of weight has affected how my CPAP machine is working? I did inform the lung function clinic of my weight loss so far, and they said to wait another 3 or 4 months before doing another sleep study on me.
Any comments would be appreciated :)

I can spend some nights tossing and turning but that's due to discomfort more than anything else. Never realised how uncomfortable my bed was till i lost 80lb worth of padding lol...

Hope someone else can give you some good advice though xxx

The best judge of my apnoea was my wife. After about 25Kg of weight loss it stopped, just like that. My son, who works with respiratory technicians tells me that for some people it can be as simple as that. Below a certain weight for you, your airway pressures naturally change and no longer occlude, hence no apnoea.

This is not a medical opinion, but you could always try a night without if you have a husband/partner/significant other who could sit next to the bed and monitor you. If you have an episode then back to the CPAP, if not then perhaps push to get retested sooner.

Hope this gives food for thought (food for thought contains no calories).

Thank you both for your replies.
I may get in touch again with the lung function clinic. Maybe it's better if they do the sleep study sooner rather than later?
