It's like a clear slimy liquid. Your mouth usually fills up with really thick saliva and you get the feeling your going to be sick and usually you are. Does that make better sense?
For me, it's an indicator that I've ate too quickly or something too fatty or greasy.
I get a frothy liquid if I eat something and its on its way back up or blocking internally ... like a saliva thick though, it comes continually until either the blockage moves or the item comes back up !
I had a sleeve too and I slime when I eat too quickly OR too much. And it's easy to eat too much if you eat too fast because you cannot feel you're full in time.
Anyway, it's all about eating very slowly and chewing very well.
How are you doing ? I was sick for 4 days after it's horrible but you will get over it , I promise it took a good week for me to drink anything but managed some sugar free jelly which is classed as fluid . I'm feeling a lot better today as I had my first check after 5 weeks and I have lost 1 1/2 stone my BMI is now 41.2 started at 45.9 so really pleased . You will get there . X
Thank you
I must admit I'm beginning to think 'what have I done?' I can't have this feeling forever it's so scary snd it hurts I just keep crying ! Pathetic really x
No as I was already on buscapan as I have a spastic colon ! Did the hospital give you it ? If not phone your nurse and ask what is the best thing to have . It's so painful I know but don't hold it in . Try and relax adrienne. X
It's not pathetic at all . I cried I also thought what have I done . I think a lot of us do . Your hormones are all over the place your weak as well ,you've been through a major op and you WILL get over it each day at a time . You probably aren't sleeping well but you will just rest and don't over do it . But try and walk around the house a bit to relieve some of the wind . Big hug x
Are you drinking 'enough', Adrienne?
I know it's hard...really hard...it may take an afternoon to sip a cup, but you need too because you don't want to dehydratate yourself and you will want to wash your anaesthesia away too.
I was told to have 1 lt. fluids straight after op and I remember I sipped all day without stopping.
What do your guidelines says about fluids at your stage?
