someone please give me a shake or a good kick in the last 6 weeks i've put on 2 and a half stone through being a total prat and not stopping eating crap, no other reason other than being a greedy mare so i've decided to try gastric band hypnotherapy it popped up in my inbox as a groupon deal for £59 so i thought i'll give it a go so i just need to get an appointment date i have to do something i'm waiting for endoscopy now at srh and after that i'm on the list and if i cant shift this extra weight i'm scuppered grrrrrrr ahhh there i go, it's out of my system hopefully new start tomorrow?!?

Whats done is done you cant turn the clock back and I have done the same thing in the past so dont beat yourself up about it. Just make a decision to get back on track and focus on what you can change which is how you proceed from here. I know its easier said than done but you can do it! Good Luck x

A friend and her husband have each had a hypnoband fitted and are doing well. It takes 3 session to set it up and a 4th for a fill. He can't have surgery due to serious health problems and can't take care if her for her to have surgery either so hence they've tried at this.

Hi Rachael. I tried the hypno cd, and I'm not sure if it worked or if I just think it did. However it didn't last long... I believe it depends on how open-minded you are about that sort of thing, but make sure you review the hypnotherapist before you spend any money.

I've just gone on the list for endoscopy last week. How long have you been waiting and how long's it taken to get this far? I'm at SRH as well.

Two women I know tried it and the only pounds they lost were from thier purses!
You know what you need to do so suck it up and get organised,clear cupboards,make lists,go shopping for fresh healthy food.ditch the scales and use a measuring tape.Walk with some fast paced music on in the sun(or rain)with some water and dont keep beating yourself up,I did it for too many years and it does nothing except make you miserable.Maz x

I tried it last year and it did not do one thing, I went for three sessions, for me it was a complete waste of money. Sorry to put a damper on it. Weight loss is such a difficult world sometimes, but just get back on track and think slim. xx

As with everything it suits some not others my friend begged me to try it but had my funding in place and was determined it would work for me and couldn't see how a hypno-band or a real band would work for me so stuck with my choice for a bypass. I have no way of cheating myself or it without making myself ill and having found out by accident some of the effects of dumping I don't want to deliberately repeat that pleasure (not).
But each to their own beliefs.

Dont beat yaself up, it happens.... and sometimes before you actually realise what your doing... Anyhows what is done is done as everyone has already told you.
I got my opereation refused earlier this week, not a 100% sure why as yet as became quite timid while with the surgeon and just kinda said oh ok then thank you and left... was in a heck of a pickle for the days following... However not going to give in, but cant afford to go private now seeing as I am NOT the euro millions winner LOL so have booked myself in for hypno banding with a guy called John Chick in Biggin Hill Kent... Im going in open minded and with fingers crossed, yes it expensive £350 but thats £8,650 less than going private on a bypass, and what if eh.... imagine just what if it worked and i do lose weight.... I am so desperate I will try virtually anything right now.
