Soooo nervous now

I just had to tell you how nervous I am feeling.... I am due to see Dr Ahmed at Charing Cross tomorrow, and a few people on here have said after their consultation with him, they had had their Op within 3 weeks! - I am soooo excited/nervous, equally aprehensive and worried I will feel frustraited if I have to wait another few months for the Op....... I can't wait for it to happen... and then part of me thinks 'oh no, am I doing the right thing'....... lol........ just wanted to share that with you all ;-)

Dont worry hun what you are feeling is totally normal, you will be up and down like a wh*res drawers until you are lay on that table, and even then when you wake up youll be thinking "OMG did they do it?" Its such a roller coaster ride but so worth it...Good Luck for your appointment......hope you get a date really soon XX

Hi Lola, you are having normal feelings love.
I have been in a right old state recently and im finding it hard to stick to a diet.
Its like 2 days on and 1 day off, its not nice.
Try not to worry to much but im sure it is normal.
Good Luck and i hope your not waiting to long.
You never know you could have wls before xmas lol

I love this site... you all know exactly how I am feeling, I just know that its the right thing I am doing.... but the doubts in my head asking is it right for me etc.... I know if I don't have it, in 10 years time, I will really regret it...... everyone seems to be doing so well on here... I love reading all the stories, its like a big supportive family on here ;-)

Mine was certainly more than 3 weeks after seeing Mr Ahmed! Good luck

Edited to add I think it was 2 and a bit months. My preop diet was 6 weeks though, you might get away with 2 now your BMI is under 50

Thanks to you all for your great words of encouragement. I didn't see Dr Ahmed, I saw Dr H?? ( I was so nervous, I didn't catch his name... and now I am fretting because of that! hahaha) - he was lovely, and says I am ideal candidate for suregery, and it will be in the new year (he failed to specify which one! hehehe) - so at least I get to enjoy my turkey... although would have jumped at the chance to have it done before! ;-)

Hopefully won't be more than a couple of months now ;-) xxxxx

Glad your appointment went well, all sounds positive.. not long now!!
I've got my pre-op appointment this week (also Charing Cross) and it came only 4 weeks after my appointment with the surgeon. No doubt my surgery will also be in the new year. We're pretty close in terms of timelines I think..

Had Phone call from Hospital....... Can I go for 'pre-op' assessment tomorrow!!!!!!!

Any idea how long after pre-op you have surgery?? - someone said 2 weeks!!! - oh well I will find out tomorrow I guess!!!

Wow... it'll be fab if I can get this done before Christmas! - I am shaking just thinking about it... its all so real now!! hahahaha...... my 1st appointment at the hospital was only 3 months ago!!! - (although I had been attending a lifestyle change clinic for 6 months prior to that) - but I thought the wait would be much longer!!! - I am really excited / nervous - well, you know how I feel! ;-) xxxxx

Hi Lola,
I had my pre-op assessment yesterday! (see my diary). They also called me short notice last Friday for this. There were LOTS of people at the appointment. I think they do this in batches.
I don't think it'll be this side of Xmas for me, as I have to do 4 weeks of the pre-op diet. But that's ok. I'm happy whenever it happens. We're so close now!!
