He everyone

Winter is definately upon us!

My quesition is - I have always made home made soups in the winter for all the family I tendo to do any veg that I have and add chicken or gammon and also some potato.

I blend half for thickness and leave chuncks of meat and potato and veg.

Would this still be ok for me to eat? I know I am over a year out and should know but it does satisf me in this cold weather and is full of goodness. Don't fancy crackers and salad every day at work x x

If it fills you up then I don't see why not. They say to avoid foods which "slide" simply because they pass through the band more quickly, which could lead to you then still being hungry and then eating more.

However, if the food is nutritious and fills you up and you're mindful of what you're eating, I don't see a problem. It is no different than providers suggesting this such as a portion of porridge or weetabix for breakfast - they pretty much slide too!

:)

I agree, I do soup just like you said and it really hits the spot. Porridge for some reason doesn't though ... It just makes me hungrier. As TK said, if you are mindful of what you are eating, and its nutritious I personally would go for it. Better having something you fancy rather than eating something you don't fancy, then going for something different afterwards just because the first choice didn't hit the spot ... But I am not an expert LOL x
