Hi everyone, I was just wondering, Why do you have to have a sleep apnea test and a cpap test? Haven't been told about any of these :sigh:

I think it has something to do with the anesthetic I may be wrong but I am sure someone will have an answer soon x

ive read a lot in these forums lol and all i can make out is that its a requirement of some PCT's and not others....

Thanks everyone

I am with SRH but did not have to have sleep apnea test or CPAP due to my responses to some of the questions they asked.

there again it is SRH it could all change when I next see them?!?

That could be the reason why, goofy. I sleep really well. I dont think I stop breathing, lol. thanks for replying

Hi and :welcome: I'm on the waiting list at sunderland for a gastric sleeve and the only procedure I've had is an endoscopy so I think it probably is something to do with how you answer the questionnaire at the nurse/dietician appointment. Good luck x

ive just had my bypass done in sunderland n i havent done either of those tests just the endescopy. xx

I'm at SRH as well, and only had endoscopy.

Whats the Endoscopy like? am really dreading that. I have my next appointment with Mr Mahawar in June. then I get the Endoscopy.

And good luck safc chick with your weight loss, I cant wait till I get my opp. seems to be never ending. Hope Mr Mahawar treat you well.

awww Caroline he was lovely tells u how it is but puts u at ease nite b4 my op my kids were at the hospital visiting n hes was even lovely with them he had my youngest son in stitches with laughing. i told him if wen he goes in to do op if u see any probs anything at all just stitch me bk up n he laughed but i had a full bypass and hiatus hernia repair and av had no pain whatsoever. an endescopy is when they put the camera down to check for any infections or hernias in my case. its not very nice horrible in fact but over in a few minutes, good luck with ur journey if theres anything a can help with just let me no xx
