Hi my wait was 6 months between each appointment. When was your gastroscopy? If its getting near 6 months then give the secretaries a call. Best of luck. X

Cheers hun, I did give them a ring this morning after I had wrote this thread. I got told off the young chap, That I will have a phone call in the next 2 to 3 weeks with a date. He said!! that I will deffo be done in may. I was really worrying because its my daughters Prom in June. and I wanted to be ok to help her with everything. I am so pleased to hear that they will be intouch sooner rather than later. its a long time to wait for the opp, But I understand fully why it needs to be so long. Thanx again x

Hi I don't think I would ever have been fully mentally prepared whether my op was 2 months or 2 years away. I live nearer hospitals where the waiting lists are less than 5 months however I was done at Sunderland about 5 weeks ago. They really were great up there. Best of luck and keep your phone on!

I got tired of waiting, you think, well I know it's about six months, but when you don't hear anything........You start thinking well am I still on the list?! So I rang SRH too, they have me pencilled in for mid May, should hear confirmation shortly, panicking now!

What day in May shadylawns they had me penciled in for the 21st of May. I rang back up to check today to make sure I was still there. And I was still there. They said I would have a letter in a week or so! I am really excited x

Thats brilliant Caraline bout time to, it does seem an age when your ewaiting took me 2 years and now I am nearly 2 years post op, where has the time gone, 4 years gone outta my life, worrying stressing, but lots of good times too, but on the right road xx soon be the start for the new look you xxxx

Hi caraline, sorry just noticed your post there, they rang me yesterday to say its definitely the 17th of May, and the information letter will be with me soon.

I promptly had a total meltdown, as you do, hahaha, well, as I do, but am feeling better with myself now.

So your op will be just the week after mine, so I shall have to get posting to let you know how it all went afterwards. Don't think I'll be taking my iPad with me, but will take my iPhone. Am hoping to get plenty of rest and sleep while I'm there!
