stickies?

I've tried searching for the answer to this, but how do threads become "sticky"? The reason I ask is because there is an excellent lighter life management thread (AmandaJayne) which will be very helpful for newcomers - I really think it would be good to have as a sticky! Thanks.

Stickies are done by administration(Admins, super mods, mods).

Typically we dont stick personal threads, unless they are informative or have a good source of solid knowlage for people to refer to.

Goombagirl, totally agree that AmandaJane's management thread is an excellent source of information for all newcomers, it is on a sticky now
