Stomach Ulcer/s and Bypass

I got the results of my Gastroscope and been told I have a small ulcer and some minor erosion of the Oesophagus.

Just wanted to know if any Bypassers had stomach ulcer/s before their Op?

Did the ulcer/s affect your Op?

when i had my tests i had helicobacter which is comon when you have ulcers, i been put on course of three antibiotics to be taken within a week , doc says this should clear every thing up . Just finished them today they knocked me for six not sure what treatment you will have to have x

Hi,

My Dr thinks my ulcer is caused by the steroids I take. I've also been taking Lansoprazole since I started the steroids. I've just been told to continue taking them.

Sorry can't help as I've never had them but did'nt want to read and run.Good luck in finding someone who knows 1st hand though.
