Strange heartburn

I seem to get bouts of what seems like heart burn in my left side of chest ( boosum) area

What the heck is that all about ???

never had it myself ... I'm going to sound like a broken record: could you go to your support team and just ask what it could be? DOn't be scared of them saying your band is too tight

sounds like your bands too tight. heartburn is a classic sign of a tighht band, get it checked out hun, i hope u feel better soon x

i rang my nurse last week but no reply as yet, Am eating fine now i have the gist of it, just this stupid burning sensation and stabbing pains on and off in the tum , just under the ribs :s xxx

it sounds like gas pains and acid from a tight band even if you are managing now and not being sick ??... if the bands tight acid/heartburn will still occur, get on to your team just to rule this possability out x :hug99:

I agree I had the most horrendous heartburn up until a couple of weeks ago when I had a defill x

Liz, can i just ask how much weight you have lost, and how much more u want to lose, cos you look so good, i was surprised to read that you have now had a bypass, sorry for being nosey

hiya deb the slides show some of the pics was at my lowest with the band, i re gained over 3st since then, i lost 8st 10llbs regained 3st, im still 5 st down from starting this id like to lose the 3 st reagain anything more for me will be a bonus, i had a bypass because my second band was confirmed as damaged which i already knew/suspected, it was in 2 bits on removal and had been sliced through, i didnt want another band, i feel much happier now im a bypasser x

thanks for replying, you look so good, blimey, that sounds like it could have been dangerous if they hadnt removed the band then, im really surprised how much hard work it seems for banders, makes me grateful for my bypass and no probs with it

its been inside me 11 months like that, thats why my op was complicated, long and drawn out for the surgeon coverting me x
im really surprised how much hard work it seems for banders, makes me grateful for my bypass and no probs with it

banding is very hard work indeed.

i get heartburn too sometimes. for instance last night i took my multivitamins and afterwards had slight heartburn. not good really.

see how you go though becuase you've had other discomfort lately.
