If I were on SS rather than on SS+ me gabbing on about chicken salads and 4 shakes a day could be quite trying to read - so I reckon even if it's not used very often it probably serves a purpose for those who really don't want to hear about food, cheating etc.

I understand the whole Strictly SS ethos and why you'd want a seperate forum However I'm dismayed be the exclusivity of it. 'Members Only' Diary section I understand ... having to ask to gain membership to the Strictly SS forum and then to be vetted before entry is another thing entirely. What was wrong with the thread of the similar name? Surely the ethos of not discussing food was there too? I appreciate it is there to help people through SS... so why isn't it inclusive and available to everyone? IMHO it is a sad day when people want to seperate themselves - that is not helpful to.

I have found it incredibly helpful on days when I have needed a completely food-free chat. The fact there is zero mention of food has been a saviour to me on difficult days, and if it being strictly monitored to ensure that is the case then I'm all for it. If people aren't happy not to mention food, then the 100% forum is perfect, but for those of us who need a sanctuary, then strictly SS is a place to go to escape. A good idea methinks xx
PS I think the reason for people having to ask to join is that in doing so you are agreeing to abide by the 'rules'. It is not exclusive to certain members, it just requires a commitment to zero mention of food, which no other part of minis has. The CD 100% was meant to be like that and it didnt really happen, this is different because of the process required to access the threads.
