Had my band operation on Tuesday 6th September and finding it hard :0(((
I can't wee and have been doctors............ .... I have red /orange wee ( anyone else had this problem)
They said I have protean in it?!?!
Also the thought of drinking fluids is making me feel sick .. I am forcing it down though.
Very sore and emotional :0(((
Help and advice needed :0((

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly :-(
I had a sleeve, not a bad and I too felt really rough for the first couple of weeks. Things will get better :) it's very early days for you. The most important thing is to keep sipping fluids xx

sounds like you need a big hug and some tlc hun.
Orange wee is highly consentrated so it is your fluids, try a milky coffee or hot chocolate made with milk, water would be best i have had a few uti's and barley water or cranberry juice helps.
((((((((((((hug))))))))))))).
Hope they can get you sorted.

Hi Sara-Louise, Just take it easy x You do need to take more fluids though.... try sucking an icelolly if you can't drink. Thats another way of getting fluids in.,,or ice chips/cubes. Milky drinks are best though because of the extra protein in milk.
It takes time to recover from an operation. Just give yourself time to heal and recover. Take some painkillers if necessary and chill. I was miserable after my op too. Just moan a lot at your family and keep drinking!
Let us know how you get on. xx

Just want to say hope your better soon hun, only been 2 days but must be hard going, hugs xxxxxxxx

keep going sweetheart, it can only get better xx

if there is protein in your wee, you may have a urine infection ... have they checked for this? you need to get some fluids down you, i would hate to hear that you have been admitted for dehydration... i know its hard at first but i am sure you are doing your best to try and get more fluids down you like you said in your first post...if it continues you need to see your team and see what they say, alternatively ring your GP and see what he says ...good luck xxx

Will try and drink more!!! ... They send wee and bloods for testing so will know kore soon...
On antibiotics to be on safe side..
It's harder than I thought ...
Would warm milk be easier?? X

Hello there

Orange urine can be a symptom of infection, dehydration, certain medications, keep your fluids up and keep taking the antibiotics they have given u and hopefully the bloods wont be too long, did they test ya urine too see if it was infected??? All the best xx

Morrisons do a sugarfree cranberry or drink very dilute lemon barley water.Ice lollies are good to get fluids in.Asda do a freezy pop spring water with flavourings 50 for £2!Maz x

Will get some... Still struggling along!!!
But knew it would be hard the 1st few weeks ..... Thanks for all your advice xx
