So tomorrow is my first appointment at the hospital cant believe it's come round so fast, i just know im not sleeping tonight lol. Dont know what will happen at this appointment but i've only got to wait a little longer to find out cant wait (got big grin on my face) ill let you all know what happens tomorrow. Tina x

Tina, talking from my own experience i anticipate them asking you lots of questions about your eating habits and going through various surgery's with you. They may well recommend a type of surgery that they think will suit you well.

Best advice i can give you is to be completely honest. If you eat crap all the time (like i used too) then just confess to it and get it out the way. This is the best way they can know what will work best....

i will do julie its more of the case of when dont i eat crap lol saying that i started my healthier life style on the 1st jan, thought might aswel start it now as it will be easier once i have the op. Thank you all for your replies xxx

well im back from my first appointment and i must say it all went fab apart from the begining when they took my weight and height and i had lost just over 7 lbs and grew 2 inch ? which took my bmi to 39 thought it was going to be a no go from the off after that but went and seen the consultant ms norton and she said that i have my op and she will post out the next appointment to see the dietian and psyc and endoscope all in the one appointment next week so im really happy on the way out the hubby asked how long till my op would it be and she said no more than 4 months can you believe it im over the moon still cant believe it. The only thing was she was trying to get me to have the band but she said it was up to me in the end and i could decide nearer the time but i know what i want and what i think will work best for me which would be the bypass so im going to stick to my guns as its the only one chance ill get of being able to have this op im soooo happy x tina

Congrats Tina brilliant news and such a short wait time too! Wow. Everyone will be moving to Wiltshire at this rate!!!! It is amazing how different areas view different BMI's etc but go you . . before long you will be on the losers bench and with any luck already heading for a slim summer. Whoopeeee xx
