Surgicare Manchester

Has anyone had any dealings with Surgicare in Manch? Am getting fed up with this endless waiting. It's been 16 months now since my GP referal and I'm so fed up!

Any advice on private options would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi I have been dealing with surgicare although not had my op yet. I have found them to be really supportive. I don't know what it is but my gut feeling is telling me to go with them and I've spoken to many companies. I've got my consultation booked with Mr Ammori for 16 Sept. From what I've heard he is the best in the business.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I did - but I went provate. Had Mr Li who is Mr Ammori's side kick. IT was a smooth process start to finish! Sorry I can't advise you on NHS or waiting times, but rest assured that when you get there, you will get great service! Good luck!

sorry porpo im in manchester but going NHS at salford royal . i think though thats a long time as reading on here if you pay private you can usually get your of in 4 or 5 weeks. youd probably been done now if you went NHS so id be having serous words with them if it was me good luck............kath x

The surgicare lot seem pretty good, but I wondered what they're like after they get your money. Am trying a last push to get some idea of timescales with the NHS. I know £10k is a lot of money to spend if you dont have to but this waiting is getting daft. In June I was told it would only be a couple of weeks now and we're into September already!

10 days from the initial call to the op. Was only interested in going with someone who could work to my timescales and Surgicare did. Aftercare is excellent. Wait till you meet Lynne - she is so cool!

Thanks for all the comments. Am having a last push on the NHS side today before I start looking seriously at loans etc. I know its a lot of money but I feel like I'm wasting my life while I wait and wait. Have left messages with everyone I can think of to chase it up.

TPT - They've told me I could see the surgeon next Wednesday and all being well have the op 2 weeks after that. They've also given me all the info I've asked for and seem really professional. Seems strange tho as they use Spire hospital in Manchester but if you go direct with Spire it takes a lot longer to get the op from what I can tell.

Spire have a contract with Surgicare and make money from them - at the end of the day life is all about money unfortunately. You won't go far wrong with them, the service I have recieved is brilliant and although I have had a few bumps along the way (my own doing) I don't regret using my Harley fund to pay for the Op. I will be using them to have my boob reduction in 18 months. :)

Ok just had a phone call back from the Consultants side and it does look like the problem is with my PCT. They are waiting for a contract to be sorted and have now advised me to chase the PCT myself... Anyone got any experience with that?? I dont even know where to start.
