SurgiCare??

Hi everyone,

I'm narrowing down my search for a band - finally!

I've come across a company called SurgiCare. Has anyone any experience of them, good or bad?
And does anyone have experience of their Birmingham hospital in Edgbaston?

They're offering a WLS for £6,950 at the mo. Not sure exactly what else is included in that price, I'm waiting for them to get back to me with more details.

The only bad thing I have heard about them and tried to help with was a lady on here had to have a gastric balloon removed on a product recall, they did not tell her why, nor have they offered any kind of replacement.

When I spoke to them to ask why balloons had been recalled, I got nowhere.

Just research, research and more rsearch. Also make sure you check out what aftercare they give and get them to commit that in writing.

I had my bypass with them (in London) and have found them very professional, i can contact the dietitian anytime i want, if i leave a meassage he always calls me back. They only use top surgeons, and i believe the band includes 2 x-rayed fills as part of the package.

Thanks for that Heather. DH & I discovered that soon after I posted this thread last night!
I think we've decided I'm going to use WLSG after lots more research last night This package seems great. xx
