Swelling

I had my banding done yesterday. I'm a little sore and tired, but doing well otherwise. My belly looks very swollen. I'm wondering if this is normal. My incisions look fine, it's my whole belly that is swollen. Thanks!

Yes its normal so dont worry, they have to pump you full of gas during the surgery which has to shift, then theres the moving bits around and the swelling from the incisions.

I had mine done on Wed as well, and my tummy is huge (and I'm very gassy!!!) I'm glad I stocked up on things to help with the wind as it's not nice.

Thanks! And congrats Sarah! I'm still very swollen. I heard from a friend to try icing the whole belly at bedtime and try gas x strips. I did take the gas x and wow what a relief! I'm going to try the ice tonight, so I'll keep you posted!

Thanks! I'm trying the ice right now. I don't know if it's getting rid of the swelling, but it sure feels nice!
