RNY Gastric Bypass Tagine

Has anyone used a Tagine for cooking? I just came back from Morocco and was told just to use a couple of teaspoons of oil in it to brown the meat. You then add the spices and water and leave to cook for a couple of hours. The food we had seemed so fresh and healthy. So would love to know if anyone has tried cooking in one. xx
 
I have not got one but did a recipe that called for one so I browned my turkey in a pan with fry light (meat had spices rubbed sin) followed recipe and then put mine in the slow cooker yummy yummy x
 
Yup I use my slow cooker to make morroccan recipes too, works in a very similar way.
