Taking tablets

Does anyone have a good tip for taking tablets? I've tried crushing them but it doesn't work for me. I took two this morning and I've spent the last two hours salivating and belching as it feels like they're stuck :-(
I'd be really grateful for any tips/feedback.

Thanks :)

Are these prescription medicines or OTC? Many prescription meds are available as liquids or suspensions. Your pharmacy may not carry them routinely but should be able to source them, usually within 24 hours. Ask your Dr to look them up in his BNF or MIMS and prescribe accordingly. OTC meds are often available as liquids (look in the childrens section), but a pharmacy has to be certain they can sell an outer of them (maybe up to 24 bottles) before they will chance ordering them in.

Hi Chris

Thanks for your reply.
It's antidepressants and a multivitamin. I'm sure the antidepressants aren't available in a liquid form?
I've tried chewable multivitamins but everything at the moment seems to make me feel sick.

It would be innappropriate for me to ask you which drugs you are on in an open forum. My wife, who is a psychiatric nurse assures me that most of the commonly used drugs you might be on are available as liquid or suspension. Try Googling the brand name or better still its generic equivalent.
