No probs for me as backside not half as much a problem as my big belly LOL

Wish i needed suppositories.......i'm the other way at the moment and scared to go out of the house after i've eaten :D

Good old glycerine suppositories, sadly they are also part of my every 7 days routeen now, the new Ducolax Suppositories are also a godsend as well, they will shift the most stubborn (too much information) if you get my drift.

I have been told that it's ok to take Movicol as well, just don't get the Moviprep by mistake, or else you will never get off the pan, talking of which, Movicol is also available over the counter under the Ducolax brand as well and they are a bit cheaper as well. Also going to try prune juice as well as that often helps. I was told not to take Fibogel though as it needs far too much water to be taken in one sitting for it to be taken post bypass.

I was also told not to take fybogel (sleeve). Prune juice sounds a good idea. Before op prunes were good for me but not at that eating stage yet. Can people tolerate or are the skins too tough?
Thx for other tips.

I started eating soft seedless prunes 2 weeks after my op. now j am 3 weeks post op and it helped a lot.

Well thats a bit more conflict on different hospitals we have people, it was fybogel my dietician recommended and twice a day at that. The water wasn't really a problem just kept stirring and sipping just had to make sure had my meds then breakfast and then bout 20minutes later have the fybogel then another one before i went to bed. Worked a treat have weaned meself of them now but still struggle from day to day at moment ok think thats down to peppermint tea though. xx

You are right. There is a lot of conflicting advice across the different hospital teams. Add the USA sites to this & it's even more confusing. Guess we just have to use our Mormon sense.

I just try to do as i'm told, but it isn't easy sometimes, especially if your'e in pain or desparate to go to the toliet ect. xxWe can only speak as we find though and what suits one little pouch won't suit someone elses little pouch. xx

A pint glass of fresh orange with bits always does it for me...
