the different stages of food

Hi can anyone tell me how long i will need to be on each different stages of foods x

I had my sleeve 6 weeks ago at SRH. I had fluids only the day of my op and the next day. The folowing day was runny/pureed food. I tolerated puree, but less sloppy as the next 4 weeks went on. After 4 weeks I introduced soft food such as scrambled egg. I did this stage for just over a week then started having different textures. I can now have anything I like, but slowly.

Remember the stages after puree, you must chew well and eat slowly. You'll soon learn your limitations.
Good luck

Forgot to say, you shouldn't rush the pureed stage. I felt so well in a short time, but your new stomach takes a while to heal and lumps of food will only slow your healing. I found it easier than I expected, and pureed roast dinners are a lot tastier than they look..

Thank you x

It will depend on your team & their procedures. For some reason they seem to give different advice at different hospitals.
I was on clear no bits fluids for 3 weeks, 2 weeks on purees, 3 weeks on mushy foods, then introducing soft textures etc. I struggled with more solid foods & still struggle with some foods but doing well. Good luck.
