... I hadn't stuck to it before this weekend but decided I had to start living by the rules.

Wow, protein really fills you quickly eh? I'm hardly getting to the rest of my meal, ie veg or rice.

yeah, its amazing isnt it karen, im the same, couple of mouthfuls and thats it, im full. if im having anything like say meat n veg, i put a bit of veg with the meat, just to make sure i get some of them, cos otherwise, i may as well not bother putting anything else on my plate. but the more protein you eat, the more weight comes off.

LOL have you just found that out? I'm like Dawny. I have to eat a few veggies with the protein otherwise I get none at all. And carbs when there's protein on the plate? no way !

Last week hubby put 6 tiny new potatoes on my plate! I took 5 off and then left the one I had!

yup protein fills you quick, i find ham does it to me very quickly :) I rarely bother putting pots on my dinner :)

What's a potato?? lol - I don't even bother with them these days x

Its for this exact reason that last week, when I found that my eating was getting a bit more frequent than I liked, my capacity was much more than I liked and my weight was stuck that I decided to test the theory and went hell for leather on the protein for the week, I had tuna for lunch, prawn or meat for dinner and protein shakes, cheese and milk inbetween. By Wednesday morning my capacity kicked back in big time and I was back to being only able to eat tiny portions and staying much fuller for much longer. Result!!! And I also lost 3lbs last week too, so its protein all the way for me now.
Steph xx

Today I have had 86g of protein and I have been full all day.

Had the dreaded protein bar for brekkie - not having them anymore though, will have to find some other form of protein for breakfast.

Lunch was 1 small wholemeal toast and laughing cow triangles and then 2 chicken drumsticks.

Dinner was homemade spag bol and only 6 pieces of penne pasta.

A snack was a light crispbread with cheese and pickle.

Normally by this time I'm hungry again but not today :D
