Hi all,
I've just finished my 10 / 11 session with the psychologists.
I met some smashing people, we will all remain buddies even though the 'course' is over. The course started out with, I think 8 of us (?) but we dwindled off to 4.
What I really wanted to say was please don't think of these courses as a hoop to jump through to get the surgery. I have learned so much through self reflection, and have really examined why I overeat. It's given me some excellent tools. The psychologists were excellent, utterly professional and not at all judgemental, and super nice people - sometimes we would laugh to almost bursting point, and there were very few tears.
So, give it a go if you are offered it. I don't regret going one little bit.
Now I just have to wait for the next step, whatever that may be!
